WE NEED OXYGEN TO MOVE.

BREATHING.

All our muscles need oxygen to function correctly. The more we move, the more oxygen we need. Breathing is an automatic and involuntary movement but we can control it when we want to breathe faster or slower.

Breathing has two place:

-Inhalation, when we breathe in and fill our lungs with air.
-Exhalation, when we exhale and the air leaves our lungs.

If for some reason, voluntary or involuntary, we stop breathing, we call it apnea.

1-Activities.
-Measure your breathing. Try running different lengths at different speeds. At the end of each run, sit down and breathe. Count how many times you breathe and complete this chart.

A healthy breakfast.

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. We should all eat a healthy breakfast. We must not forget that it is a long time before we have lunch and we have to work hard at school, play and do physical activities.

To keep healthy, we have to eat a bit of everything and not forget the importance of fruit. It is important to eat fish or meat, bread or pasta, milk, fruit and vegetables and legumes every day.

Before you eat, we have to wash our hands and sit in the correct posture at the table.

1. Write a list of what you have every day for breakfast and say if you think you have to make any changes in your diet.

Welcome back.

All the different parts of our body have to be in perfect condition. Our body is like a machine and is designed to move.
Physical activity develops our locomotor system ( our bones , joints and muscles) and our heart and lungs.

- What kind of physical activities did you do in your summer holidays?
